I have given advice to my son not to pursue further student loans to fund his education. In discussing this in order to have my purposes established, a dear brother in the Lord sent me this link:
http://www.studentloanjustice.org/
This is a must read for those that are suffering the consequences of student loans in their life, or thinking about taking one out. There are testimonials from many that have had their lives changed by the predatory and usurious practices of the student loan lending companies.
Granted, most of these students had not been rooted and grounded in the truth of God’s word concerning debt, usury and economics, and entered into it willingly and I would say, like sheep to the slaughter, being led on by covetousness. They have reaped what they sowed in being unfaithful to the truth.
However, the greed and manipulation of law that has occurred in order to provide opportunity for these lenders to make billions is stunning. The corruption and manipulation of lawmakers is an eye-opener. Despite the lack of an objective faith, this website speaks volumes concerning the fascist government captivity God has ordained for us.
When will the church awake, and cry aloud together against this debt-based pragmatism that is destroying our nation? The heartache and bondage that has been produced by the church in this nation condoning and encouraging such lawlessness is staggering. Many have been enslaved, and their choices and freedom taken from them. Although like sheep led to the slaughter, there should not be a slaughter, for biblically loans are to be charitable in nature, and not for profit.
The church has allowed and provided for a legal means to profit from the need of the weak and the ignorant, and opened the door for the depravity of man to ruin lives. When will we as the pillar and ground of the truth awake to this sin and cry aloud for justice for the weak, the fatherless, the widow and the orphan? For this is the true test of our religion, and not our words, creeds and confessions. Relieve the oppressed, and put a stop to injustice, and visit those in need with some real help for once: outlaw usury and remove those from the church who would profit from the needs of others.
I am moved by compassion and angered by such complacency and pragmatism.
Blessings in Christ
