This has been a beautiful, sunny Kodachrome day. The greens of summer lie everywhere, and the sun is shining down in its glory.
I was driving between Bristol and Brumley Gap today and singing along to Kodachrome by Paul Simon. Out of the corner of my eye I saw this digital sign. It has indeed been 120 years today since George Eastman patented flexible roll film and the Kodak roll film camera. My how things have changed since then!
I would like to sit down with Mr. Eastman and hear about his life and times. As he is most likely the Lord’s, I hope to have a long talk with him about photography and the impact it has had on the world. Like all of us who serve the King, Mr. Eastman had an important part to play in His-story.

This was posted while parked in the shade of Steve and Kara Murphy’s front yard in Brumley Gap, Abingdon, Virginia. Steve and Kara are the Publishers of Homeschooling Today and have been very kind and hospitable, even allowing me a place to plug in and get on the internet.
Please visit their site and get acquainted with this excellent publication, printed six times a year and distributed nation wide. Order a subscription today if you haven’t already got one! (This is indeed a shameless plug for the Murphy’s home business which I hope to support as I can.)
May God bless you in the work of your hands in all places of His dominion.
